Sophie and Liza Pole Shoot
It’s no secret that I enjoy shooting pole dance/fitness. I find the sheer level of athleticism required to haul your body up into these shapes to be immensely impressive, and when you combine that with the creativity of putting a routine together, suddenly my interest is piqued again. Sophie and Liza reached out to me after I shot a pole showcase for their studio, and we planned the idea of taking their routine and turning it into a full, stylised shoot. They had a list of 30 things to do before they were 30, and this shoot was on the list, so I was very honoured to be involved. We used Liza’s farm, and with a lot of planning, props and making sure there were plenty of snacks, we managed to shoot for around 3 hours with multiple different outfits both on and off the pole. I used pretty much every format I had to my disposal, and think the black and white film shots came out great.
